InHealth Intelligence wins bid to deliver diabetic eye screening for Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire (BNSSG)

On the 1st April 2020, people with diabetes in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) will start to receive their diabetic eye screening delivered by InHealth Intelligence.

Eye screening is a key part of diabetes care to check for diabetic retinopathy, a condition that can lead to sight loss if it’s not detected early and treated. Everyone aged 12 and over with diabetes receives an invitation to this service once a year.

This area joins our other successful diabetic eye screening programmes in Berkshire, Devon, Dorset, East Anglia, Essex, Greater Manchester North & South, Kent and Medway, North West London and Hampshire & Isle of Wight.

Phil Kirby, Managing Director of InHealth Intelligence said, “We are delighted to have been selected to provide this service and the whole organisation is looking forward to continuing and building on the first-class service people with diabetes already receive in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG).”

We will now work closely with the current programme provider, Bristol Community Health, to ensure a smooth handover before we begin delivering services on 1st April 2020.
